Will be responsible for driving to and from designated locations adhering to corporate, state and federal regulations. Transporting program consumers in a safe and comfortable manner.

How will I contribute

• Will be responsible for driving to and from designated locations.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulation including, mileage records and other records required by law
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions before, during and after trips and submit a written report on the condition of the vehicle at the end of each trip.
• Report all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment.
• Report highway safety hazards noted in route
• Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies or in the event of irregularities relating to pick up or delivery of passengers.
• Operate lift controls for loading and unloading of passengers and properly securing of the wheelchairs and walkers, etc.
• Proper handling and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork related to vehicle operations.
• Daily vehicle inspection and reports.
• Report any problems to your supervisor timely to allow for any concerns to be addressed timely.
• Complete and report all consumer related incidents, accidents, behaviors.
• Monitor behavior, pushing, shouting, loud singing, loud music, eating and inappropriate touching is not allowed on K.V. vehicles and as the driver it is your responsibility to make sure rules are followed
• Keep accurate time on your route sheets
• Maintain Driver's license with passenger endorsement
• Responsible for communicating with Dispatcher as to pickup and drop off sequence and times.
• Attend monthly and quarterly mandatory staff meetings.
• Complete and maintain current CPR/FA certification.
• Other Duties as assigned.

What I bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Class C Driving Requirements
• CPR certified
• Be flexible to cross train all departments to meet the needs of all consumers.
